Thinking of Moving to a New Platform

Just a quick note to announce that I am considering moving this blog to a new platform, possibly If anyone has an alternative suggestion, please comment below. Thanks.

I guess that's an overkill for a simple blog but I can say out of my own experience it is very easy to set up.

I think posting your content to Steemit is something worth looking into as well, though I've only recently heard about that platform and haven't used it yet myself. I wouldn't use XenForo, but that's mainly because of my preference of libre/open-source software to proprietary software. (I tend to agree with the view that users should have the freedom to use software which has been distributed to them however they want as long as they give credit to the creators.)

I haven't made up my mind yet but I tend to agree with Zeb. My main reasons for changing platforms has to do with free speech issues. WordPress is great but it's a proprietary platform. Steemit is attractive but I don't like the way it makes everything about money. is a great site but it is censorship central.

I'm still researching and how they're evolving. It may take me some time.

What about self-hosting?

I considered self-hosting and decided against it. I do have a website and a Unix server that I could use for it but it's too much of a maintenance headache. Using an established platform handles all the details without any effort on my part.
