Zechariah and Revelation: Bombshells in the Way

This is for the record only and I will be brief. I have an extraordinary claim to make. The entire book of Revelation and the first six chapters of the book of Zechariah are a detailed metaphorical description of the structure, function and operation of the brain, memory, intelligence and consciousness. Extraordinary evidence for this claim will likely begin to surface as early as this year. That is all.

Wait, does this invalidate all of your previous physics stuff that came from Revelation?

Not at all. Only a very small part of Revelation (the four creatures and the sea of glass) describes physical entities. However, there are very good reasons to include them in a description of intelligence and the brain. Those things symbolize the physical universe, i.e., the environment. The text explains that the brain's knowledge is not only shaped by the universe, the brain exists in the universe and makes a crucial assumption about the way the universe works.

I should have said, "... makes several crucial assumptions about..."

Here's a relevant article that was published just today that seems to corroborate what I said about physics and the brain above: Babies are born with a grasp of physics, researchers claim.

"the brain makes a crucial assumption about the way the universe works"

I assume you're referring to the fact that the brain and the universe are both deterministic rather than probabilistic as is popularly believed.

Hi Bill,

Actually, the universe is probabilistic at the fundamental level but the laws that govern particle behavior are so strict that, at the level that the universe interacts with the brain, most phenomena are deterministic. So you are right. The brain can only deal with deterministic phenomena. But this does not mean that there are no probabilistic phenomena at that level but the brain cannot handle it. This is why we have an entire field of mathematics to handle statistics and probability.

Let me add that this assumed underlying perfection of the universe is only one fourth of the assumptions that the brain makes about the universe. There are three "horses" left, if you know what I mean. I'll have more to say on this topic some other time. Now is not the time.

Es interesante todo lo que escribes. Tienes razón: Dios se comunica CON NOSOTROS de infinitas maneras. Sepamos escucharle. Felicitaciones y prósperos años 2016,2017,2018...hasta el Apocalipsis.
